RRB NTPC Syllabus
- CBT – I (For All Posts):
- Objective (MCQ) format with 100 questions, totaling 100 marks.
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates).
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- The number of candidates shortlisted will be 15 times the category-wise vacancies based on merit in CBT – I.
- Normalized scores from CBT – I will be used for shortlisting candidates for CBT – II.
- Subjects and Marks:
- Mathematics: 30 questions – 30 marks.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 questions – 30 marks.
- General Awareness: 40 questions – 40 marks.
- CBT – II (Post-wise):
- Objective (MCQ) format with 120 questions, totaling 120 marks.
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates).
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Marks will be normalized.
- Subjects and Marks:
- Mathematics: 35 questions – 35 marks.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 35 questions – 35 marks.
- General Awareness: 50 questions – 50 marks.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for Station Master:
- Qualifying in nature with a minimum T-Score of 42 required in each test battery.
- No relaxation in minimum T-Score regardless of category.
- Candidates must pass all test batteries to be considered for Traffic Assistant/Station Master positions.
- Test options are available only in English and Hindi.
- Marks will be normalized, and there is no negative marking in CBAT.
- Typing Skill Test (Post-wise):
- Qualifying in nature, with eight times the number of vacancies called for the test.
- Candidates must type 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on a personal computer without editing tools or spell check.
