Eligibility Criteria for OSSC Teacher Recruitment 2025

TGT (Arts)

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce or Shastri (Sanskrit) with two school subjects and a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC).
- Must have a B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- OR Four-year integrated B.A, B.Ed with two school subjects (e.g., English, Odia, History, etc.).
Additional Requirement: Must have passed the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET).

TGT (Odia)

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Odia as Hons/Pass/Elective (minimum 200 marks excluding compulsory Odia) and 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC).
- Must have a B.Ed/Integrated B.Ed/M.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- OR Four-year integrated B.A, B.Ed with Odia as a subject and 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC).
Note: Special B.Ed degrees (e.g., Hindi, Sanskrit) are not accepted for this post.

TGT (Science – PCM)

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (PCM) with 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC) and a B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- OR Four-year integrated B.A, B.Ed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.
Additional Requirement: Must have passed OSSTET.

TGT (Science – CBZ)

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (CBZ) with 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC) and a B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- OR Four-year integrated B.A, B.Ed with Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology as subjects.
Additional Requirement: Must have passed OSSTET.

Classical (Sanskrit) Teacher

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as an elective/optional/Hons/Pass subject and 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC) along with Sikshya Sastri (Sanskrit).
- OR Shastri (Sanskrit) with 50% marks and Sikshya Sastri.
- OR Acharya/M.A in Sanskrit with 50% marks in aggregate.

Hindi Teacher

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as an elective/optional/Hons/Pass subject with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC).
- OR Equivalent qualifications like Rashtra Bhasha Ratna, Sashri, etc., with at least 50% marks.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi and M.A in Hindi with 50% marks.
Additional Requirement: Must have passed OSSTET and hold qualifications like Hindi Sikshya Parangat, B.H.Ed, or equivalent.

Telugu Teacher

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Telugu as a subject and 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC).

Urdu Teacher

Qualification:
- Alim/Fazil with 50% marks and B.Ed/Urdu B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
